Scott and Denise Newman live in Spicewood, TX, have two teenage boys and one ball obsessive dog, Spike. Our first love and passion is definitely travel, adventure, and meeting new people!

Married for over 19 yrs., we understand the importance of couples needing to slow down, escape the rut, and make the time to relax and reconnect with each other. Nature has a way of forcing you do to that.

Scott is originally from Southern California, but became an Austinite / Texan in 2008 and has been a senior IT recruiter for over 20 yrs. When he isn’t building gorgeous safari tents, you can find him watching football, wake surfing, fishing, or traveling to cool places. He has always had a passion for the outdoors and making people happy.

Denise is a native Texan, a previous psychotherapist and IT recruiter, and attended Texas A&M and University of Houston. Denise has always had a deep passion for helping people find and keep love alive, she is a life coach and long term entrepreneur, enjoys live music, working out, and unique adventures.

Scott & Denise have always had a passion for travel and love staycations. Together they shared this vision to create a Hill Country Glamping experience with beautiful water views surrounded by nature where couples and friends would be inspired to Reconnect, Reset, and Relax.

Safari for the Soul was the perfect name and captures the essence of that dream.

Other fun tidbits…we are foodies, extremely active in wake surfing, snow skiing, dancing, and working out. Love love beaches and scuba diving/zip lining.

We know that people travel to make memories….and we are lucky enough to get to contribute to an amazing experience for the people we host!
