Frequently Asked Questions
Commonly known as glamping, luxury glamping seeks to preserve all of the enjoyable elements of spending time in the outdoors while providing a comfortable environment to stay in. Our safari tents are 400 square foot rooms that feature air conditioning, heat, running water, private bathrooms, a king size bed, a mini fridge, propane grill, and private hot tub.
While we love kids, we created this romantic experience to allow couples an adults to recharge and reconnect with each other. Everything is made for two to inspire couples and friends to relax without any worries.
Yes! We do allow 1-2 dogs MAX per tent, for a fee of $50 for up to two small to medium sized dogs. (sorry, no cats). Large breeds over 80 lbs require approval and a fee of $75.00. All dogs must be supervised, dog friendly, people friendly, and must be crated if left alone in the tents.
While sitting around the campfire at Safari For the Soul Glamping is one of the central activities to enjoy, there are restrictions we must follow. Periodically there may be burn bans put in effect by the county due to increased wildfire risk, which means no campfires or outdoor burning of any kind at any time. Doing so may result in a fine payable to Burnet County.
If there is a burn ban in effect, we will notify you the day of your arrival. Reservations cannot be cancelled or changed without penalty because of a burn ban.
Check in is between 3PM & 10 PM, unless you’ve made special arrangements with us. Upon arrival you will park on the left or right side of your tent parallel to the outside connected bathroom.
We do not live on site but are available via phone or text at any time.

The river is a 2-minute walk from two of the tents. Guests are not permitted to drive their vehicle down to the river under any circumstances.

This is glamping on 6 acres so there is an abundance of wildlife just as there would be in a national or state park. The main animals you may see during your time with us could include turkey, deer, dove, quail, a variety of song birds, buzzards, hawks, armadillos and an occasional but rare wild hog.
Also, while it is unlikely you will see them, there are snakes in the area. As unpopular as they may be, they do help control the pest and rodent population. Simply staying on the paths and roads will keep you out of their way and allow them to play their role in our ecosystem.
You may hear coyotes in the winter but they never come near the tents. However, you should supervise your small dogs at night closely.
No hunting is allowed on the property at any time.
